Emily Charlotte was set up by Emily Charlotte Clark in 2013 while completing her Art and Design degree at Birmingham University. Since then, the business has continued to grow as more people became aware of her work.
As demand for Emily’s unique creations increased, she made the move from a small unit in Tamworth to set up a wonderful new showroom and ceramics studio in Shenstone, where you’ll find a treasure trove of statement furniture and pick-me-up items.
Although she’s always had the upcycling bug, having painted her first piece of furniture at the age of 10, the business was born when Emily was required to start an enterprise as part of her degree work.
Emily soon made a name for herself in the industry, having worked with TV furniture designer Nessa Doran O Reilly, from Gok Wan’s Fill Your House for Free. She was also invited to exhibit her work at Birmingham Library when the new building was launched and was invited to mentor students at the University of Birmingham.
In the new Shenstone showroom and studio, Emily has been joined by a fantastic and talented team of like-minded creatives and works closely with local artists and crafters to spread the upcycling bug even further.
